Description: This book is about a boy named Auggie who was born with a medical condition, which has left his face disfigured. It is about how he copes with going to school for the first time and making new friends.

Why Others Should Read It: Others should read it because it gives you an insight on what it is like to live with a medical condition. Also it is really enjoyable and interesting.

My Favourite Part: My favourite part is when he starts to make friends and doesn’t get so nervous to go to school anymore.

Author: Liz Kessler

Description: Emily, her boyfriend and her best friend are mermaids. They discover an island on holiday and they have to save the people there and the people on the island across from that from a devastating, life threatening hurricane

Why Others Should Read This Book/Series: Others should read this book because it is full of adventure and a page turner. I recommend you read the first 6 books before this one! I would also recommend it if you like mermaids.

My Favourite Part: My favourite part is when one of the characters transforms into a giant which they were looking for on the island

Age Recommendation: 9 – 11 year olds

My Favourite Part: My favourite part was when Kester met Polly and he realised he hadn’t actually caught berry eye
