Year 2
Hello everyone...
This year your class teacher is Mr Woollam.
We also have a brilliant team in Year 2 this year, including: Mrs Wallace, Mrs Taylor, Mrs Hargreaves and Mr Jones.
We can't wait to get started on our Year Two journey. We will work hard, learn lots of new skills and knowledge, look after each other and have lots of fun!
General Information
The children will begin the day at 8.45am entering through the Y2 classroom door (at the side of the school)
- Morning breaktime is at 10.30am-10.45am
- Lunchtime is 12pm-1pm
- Afternoon breaktime is 2pm-2.15pm
Hometime is at 3.20pm. The children will leave from the Y2 classroom door onto the playground. Please give us a wave (particularly at the start of the year as we get to know you) so we can see who is collecting each child.
-
Children must wear PE kit to school on Thursday and Friday as we will not be getting changed at school. Please can long hair be tied back on PE days and earrings removed.
-
Water bottles must be filled each morning and labelled with names. After lunch, children will be given the option of refilling water bottles
-
Children should only bring a small bag with their reading books and reading record in. The children have a locker for their coat and bag
-
Lunch boxes/bags will also go in the children's lockers
Please can you ensure all items of clothing are named, so we can allocate any items that are left at the end of the day to the right child!
Seesaw and Twitter
Seesaw is the platform for the children's homework, spellings, any additional learning at home, celebratory events etc. We have sent home new logins at the beginning of the year. However, if you need a new login during the year, please let us know. We will from time to time put messages for parents/carers onto the Family Announcements section in addition.
Twitter will be used by the teachers and teaching assistants to upload pictures of work, activities, special events for you to view at home. This will enable you to see some of the exciting things we are doing in school.
