For transition into our reception class we offer the following:

 Reception New Starters meeting for Parents, early June

This is a chance for parents to meet the EYFS team, see the classroom and find out about class routines and transition arrangements.

Ongoing throughout June - telephone calls from Reception class teacher to discuss your child and answer any individual questions or concerns

Stay and Play session 3.30pm to 4.30pm mid June

This is a session for children and their parents that do not already attend our nursery. Your child can get to know the EYFS staff and have a play in their new classroom and outdoor area with parents there to support them.

 Reception New Starter visits group A -  9am to 11.30am end of June dates TBC

This is a session for children to visit in a smaller group without their parents. They will spend the morning with the EYFS staff in the Reception classroom.

Reception New Starter visits group B -  9am to 11.30am end of June dates TBC

This is a session for children to visit in a smaller group without their parents. They will spend the morning with the EYFS staff in the Reception classroom.

 Reception New Starter visits whole class group -  9am to 11.30am There will be 2 sessions at the end of June / beginning of July

This is a session for children to visit in their new class group without their parents. They will spend the morning with the EYFS staff in the Reception classroom.

End of July - Teddy Bears Picnic - 2.00pm on the School Field

This is for all our EYFS new starters and our Nursery children with their families. Don't forget to bring your teddy bear!

INSET day in September - EYFS drop in session - 2.30pm to 3.30pm

The EYFS classrooms and outdoor area are open for a stay and play drop in session. All the EYFS staff will be there to greet you. Great way to start the new term. Children can play and get familiar with their surroundings ready for starting school on the following day.

ALL DATES WILL BE CONFIRMED BY LETTER IN MAY ONCE YOUR CHILD HAS A CONFIRMED PLACE IN OUR RECEPTION CLASS
