Home Learning Information – Year 1home learning

To all of our wonderful Year 1 class,

Whilst the school is closed for the time being, we have put together some learning activities/tasks for you to complete during the normal school day. We’ve tried to make them as fun and interesting possible, whilst ensuring we continue to cover some of the learning that is needed at this time in Year 1.

The activities/tasks to be completed can be accessed in a variety of places: (see Login sheets for details of usernames/passwords)

  1. Y1 class page of the school website (here)
  2. Seesaw Learning Platform
  3. Spelling Shed
  4. Letter join (handwriting)
  5. Amaven
  6. Reading books/journals, Home Learning Books
  7. Phonics packs
  8. Handwriting packs

You do not need to complete every activity/task!

  1. Completed work can be uploaded and shared on the Seesaw Learning Platform, or put into Home Learning Books
  2. We will endeavour to view and comment on any work etc. received in term-time, during the hours of 8.30am – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday until the school re-opens.
  3. You can also contact us to discuss any of the learning you are unsure about or to let us know some of the things you have been doing whilst the school is closed using the Seesaw Learning Platform. We will also upload to Seesaw/add further activities/tasks if the school closure continues for a longer period of time.

Remember to look after yourselves whilst you are at home, make sure you are washing your hands regularly, and using tissues when sneezing or coughing. Finally, thank you for your support and understanding during this unusual time.

We look forward to seeing and receiving lots of your work and we hope to see you very soon!

Take care,

Mrs Fitzhugh and Mrs Morrison
