Ken Mitchell - Co-opted Governor. 

Quality education is very close to my heart as I have one child in Year 11 and my other is in Year 6.  I am currently both the Chair of Trustees for a Multi Academy Trust (The Birchwood Trust) and Chair of Governors at the Berkeley Academy where I have been a governor for nine years.  My areas of interest are finance, buildings, PE and IT and I currently sit on the Resources Committee at Willaston.  

I have an international commercial background strecthing back over 30 years.  The business skills that I have acquired on this journey are the ones that I use within the school forum and hope these will aid Willaston in improving on its already fabulous offering.  Alongside this I also coach rugby for Sandbach under 15's where 'team' is at the centre of everything we do.  I am enjoying being part of the team at Willaston Academy.
