In Art Attack we looked at tribal face painting and the colours and patterns which are used to decorate the body. We were inspired by these to paint a paper plate. Next we used different colour wool to weave a further pattern onto our plate.
Mrs Levick-Jones came in to teach us during Art Attack. She introduced us to three great French artists- Matisse, Rousseau and Derain. We explored primary, secondary and tertiary colours and looked at contrasting colours on the colour wheel. The classroom was filled with magnificent plants and foliage, which we sketched using view finders changing the focal point each time. Finally we sketched and painted a rainforest inspired piece of art, which we are all extremely proud of.
